Daisy Dukes booty workouts coming soon

"Jessica wanted more of a bump for her rear end instead of a flat butt," [I don't got that prob Jessie poo ;)] says Alexander, who works at Beverly Hills' Sports Club LA. He trained Simpson there nearly every day one hour with weights and a half-hour of cardio. To achieve a toned butt and legs, Simpson took on a rigorous program of lunges and squats while holding 7 ½-pound weights.

...Alexander, who encouraged Simpson to eat grilled chicken, seared fish, broccoli and asparagus. She avoided bread baskets brought to the table and declined extra sugar for her iced tea. Free desserts brought to the table were refused. [source]

In preparing for the role (and to be able to fit in those short shorts), Jessica first had to give up her No. 1 vice -- dessert! "She's a big sweet tooth person," reports Mike. "She likes to cook desserts -- brownies and cookies and banana pudding and stuff like that -- so she wasn't allowed to do that. And being from the South, she loves chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and chips and hot sauce and Mexican food -- fried and carbs, basically -- so she had to give that all up."

So you know what's next right?

Simpson Launches Treadmill Line

The singer spent six days a week getting her body into the perfect shape for her role as sexy Daisy Duke in new movie The Dukes Of Hazzard and she's so impressed with the results she wants to give fans the chance to get into Duke shape.

[snip]

She says, "I have a workout video coming out and now everybody can do the Daisy Duke workout and I have a treadmill line that I'll be selling.

[snip]

"...I was in the gym six days a week, two-and-a-half-hours a day with a trainer."

Snark aside, there is no secret.

It's a given she may have access to some super secret celeb goodies the rest of us don't. Still, I commend her for keeping it real and not pretending she just looks like that. Hell she is childless and 25 and STILL had to workout @ least an hour a day to get that bod.

I know whenever this comes up, someone posts "well, if I had a personal trainer and someone cooking for me, I could look like that too." Which is true, but I've really challenged myself to be my own personal trainer and to cook healthy for myself... you gotta take responsibility for yourself... even celebrities need to be responsible for sticking with it and not hitting up 7-11 for some Ben & Jerry's at 3am. :-) I read something about Jessica Alba once where she said that her whole family is overweight and in high school she took it upon herself to learn to cook and eat healthy... and that's long before she got famous.

Though really, I may not need the trainer and the personal chef, but I could sure use an extra hour in my schedule... Many days I can barely fit in 30-60 minutes, much less 2 hours. Maybe I should get a maid... cheaper than a personal trainer, and MAN I hate cleaning.

You know...throughout all her ..."changes" ...I still really like her a lot. And what I mean by changes are ...her showing more of her body off...selling her sex appeal and such...

But you are right ...kudos for her for really being public about her fitness and it's not like Nicole Ritchie and Lindsey Lohan and their starvation diets...Jessica really works hard to look that good! And looks a hellava lot better.

I'm going to say something really bitchy here, not for the sake of bitching, but because I want to know if anyone else thinks this -

The photos showing her profile and front are of a person who is too skinny to have the butt shown in the last photo. Are these before-and-afters, or is it possible she's wearing a little booty padding?

I mean, I don't really care - she's an actress, and that's part of the job - but as always I'm annoyed with the media's pushing of the latest greatest "perfect body." Especially when said body isn't possible without costuming and/or surgery.

Even with surgery I could never have a body like that... although she look a bit too skinny in the top pic. Still I have smarts to compensate :)

I've never been a Jessica fan... some people say she "played dumb" for the Newlyweds show and all - and I just don't believe it.

Of course, no one ever said you HAVE to be smart to make it in H'wood... but still.

I begrudgingly give her credit though. At least for admitting that it took work. I'd love to see some before and after shots though... lol I wonder just how much changed, you know? I think she had a cute shape before, and okay, seeing her in a bikini and daisydukes now appears to be a great change, but clothes make a difference too, you know? bah. anyway... lol

Oh, and I'd have joined your challenge, but I think I've proven to myself that challenges just aren't working for me right now... So I've been just trying to "behave" and see where that takes me... :)

Marla, I think it's the booty shorts with the pockets and the pose that's accentuating her butt in the last pic.

I love Jessica. I think she's cooky and just herself most of the time. She comes across as genuine. If that's what she's paying her PR people for, they're doing a great job.

I am the last one to poo-poo hard work. I have watched my SIL run marathons for years and know she busts tail - so I have never looked at her tiny body and thought, "I hate her! Look how skinny she is". (She has always said that she runs so that she can eat ice cream. )

With that caveat, am I the only one who thinks the first picture (the one in the pink bikini) is absolutely frightening? I mean, her ribs are poking out farther than her hips??

*That* is not the look I am going for.

La, no probs girlie, if the challenge ain't your thing right now, it's all good.

Gina, those ribs frighten me too
