How far it goes

I so don't kid when I bemoan my OCD ways. I was adding the fatfighterblogs.com button to the bottom of this site and my eyes glanced over the stats, my heart skipped a beat when I saw this:

OCD Much?

Man, and here's why it absolutely makes me drool.

First line: 39 & 6, 3 divides nicely into both
Second line: 966 *squeals* 3 too divides nicely into it, AND it's both the same #, one is upside down.
Third line: OMG 2200, 22. 00. Man, 10 & 100 goes into it. It breaks into two nice separate # blocks too.
Fourth line: 10 3 5. The 3 that does the nice dividing and 5 plays nice with 10.

The symetry of it all just makes my go pitter patter

Wow, hello me!

Don't get me started on A) crunching numbers & B) OCD!

YAY!

My mind isn't mathmatically oriented, but I've noticed that if I see certain number combinations, I get a little excited.

Certain phone numbers, the readout on the LCD clock, the odometer, etc., can make me think. 12:34 on the clock is always a magical time. Dates that won't repeat for a while are exciting also, such as 01-02-03. Anytime the odometer is at a 0000 number or at 7777 is exciting. When I was in school, I had a phone number that matched up with the high/low temperatures printed in the newspaper one day. It was a little thrill.

But, I never told anyone because nobody else had expressed anything like that before until I saw your post.

Good to know that others think the same way at times.

wow i thought i was weird for doing this kind of thing, seems its pretty common :) my thing is for licence plates... being in traffic is like heaven, i see patterns and synchronising and 'coincidences' everywhere. now that im going to be a driver rather than a passenger it'll have to stop, i get carried away and in my own brain and accidents could happen

My thirtieth birthday will be 09/09/09. Which I kind of like, also palindromic dates (not that we'll see any more of those since 2002, alas) and 12:34 sort of things. But I'm the least OCD person ever.

My boyfriend has it, but he doesn't fixate on numbers. Plan for this autumn is to help him stop checking switches, taps and locks (it's worst when the anxiety about checking hits the anxiety about making himself late by too much checking). OCD can be banished - I know some people who have.

Amelia, good call on the Libra thing....b/c I have a thing about balance too

Kirsten, I LOVE those type of #'s too...whenever it's a day like 04/04/04 something deep inside me gets super excited.

Chris - that's what kills me, I'm a math-a-phobe...avoiding so many majors that had math as a requirement, but I love crunching #, almost became an accountant and obsess about it so much I resort to posting my quirky traits
