Last week I launched an onsite plea to complete a laptop free site offer in return for cash. B/c I'm itching to get this to the mother unit when I see her in 3 weeks, this week I'm upping the stakes.
In addtion to being reimbursed, ONE of the people who:
- successfully signs up w/in 24 hours of me sending you the referral link AND
- completes an offer w/in 48 hours after signing up.
will win a brand new, like still in the box new, totally legit 1GB iPod Shuffle!
Oh and don't worry about shipping, I got that too. It'll ship out standard, if you want it get it quicker, you can cover that cost, but it's optional. For both our protection, it'll also be insured and require signature confirmation upon delivery.
How'd I get this Shuffle? Via the free site of course. I planned to use it myself, but that'd be real greedy since I already have a 20 giga. How much music does one girl need? Then I was going to make it a future giveaway for the fatfighterblogs.com site, but I'm working on having something better for those peeps. Then I was going to eBay it and use the money to pay off a credit card. That last part is what I still very badly want to do but I'll sacrifice that for now and use it as in incentive to get this laptop for my momma. (Side note for the people who've already signed up no need to do anything else, as soon as your offer is completed, you too will be eligible to win.)
However, for the sign ups I still need, I do have to modify things since a very delicious prize is now @ stake. The old deal was, sign up for an offer and regardless of cost, I'd pay you between $10-15. That deal no longer applies. See why it pays to be quick, earlier sign ups get/got $15 + chance to win.

If it's a $5.95 offer, that's what you'll get back. I mean it's only fair. Despite the ongoing rumors, I'm really not Oprah.
I figure I'm already taking a loss w/the Shuffle, losing monies I could've gotten for selling it and I am still reimbursing peeps for the offers, more monies out of my pocket. I can't give all away the entire reneegetsfit.com zillion dollar fortune now can I? That's the diff between me and O, I'm a zillionaire, she's a bazillion-trillion-must-crush-frey-ionaire.
Part Two: You must do 2 sites for me.
Don't worry, the total cost for doing offers on both sites will still be in the $10-$15 range, they are for similar big name products/companies and you will still be reimbursed.
You know how people buy low & sell high on eBay for spare money, that's sort of what I do w/the free sites on the side. Having 2 sign ups helps me get them done quicker.

The good part, and I'm no math whiz so bear with me, is that you are in a very small pool of people gunning for the Shuffle so the odds of winning are better than say playing your local lotto, or doing any random online giveaway you see flashing @ you all the time or even trying to get a call into your local radio station.
For this prize, the most people you'll be going against is 20. That's it.

To avoid having too many people, the sign up form will only available until I get the magic number. If anyone on the list can't do this, I'll open it up again. Everything is done on a first come first come first served basis. You'll be next in line if you end up being an extra person before I get the form down, in case someone changes their mind or is too slow...which brings me to part 3.
Part 3: You must be quick & accept I'll be emailing you. A lot.
In order for me to get this done in time, once I send you the referral link, you must sign up for the site w/in 24 hours and you must complete an offer w/in 48 hours (and forward me the confirmation email of what you did). At that point I will reimburse you for the offer via paypal or amazon.com.
If you haven't signed up w/in 24 hours, I'll email seeing what's up, if I get no reply w/in 24 hours, I'll move onto the next person. If you do sign up but haven't completed your offer w/in 48 hours, again I'll email, and if there is no reply w/in 48 hours, again I'll move on.
I'm thinking, if someone takes the time to complete the sign up form, it means they are interested. I really don't want to feel like I'm harassing anyone to do this. Chasing behind someone always leaves a sour taste in my mouth, but for this I'll give everyone the benefit of the doubt and some extra time w/in reason. If you know you'll be unavailable, out of town in the next 2 weeks, this giveaway is not for you. I want to avoid having someone contact me after all is done saying I owe them b/c they did a sign up. Depending on the circumstance, I *may* reimburse them anyway, but I'm not obligated to.
Since you now know my urgency for getting this done, all I ask is for you respect my time frame, as I'll respect yours, and please try to understand why I must move on if you don't answer my emails. There'll be no hard feeling on my end, no voodoo dolls made in your image if you can't do this. While it is important to me, it's really not that deep.
The Shuffle drawing/giveaway will not happen until the laptop ships. Which brings me to the final part.
Part 4: Be for real
I can't submit for the laptop until all my signups have gone green. When they have, my account is reviewed for fraud, discrepancies and what not. If everything is on the up and up, the laptop ships. If something is fishy the account gets put on hold. The suspected sign up is thrown out and another sign up needs to replace it.
Here's the sole catch, only people who have passed the final review are eligible. If your sign up fails the review due to not being legit, then I'm out the money I reimbursed you. It sucks and I'll eat that loss, but I'm sorry no Shuffle for you. I don't think that's an unreasonable stance as I'll have to find another sign up, which'll cost me more than I intended to spend.
If for some reason your account is a no go due to a minor oversight, you can appeal. Say the offer you did wasn't credited properly or something in your home address was off, those are legit and common things. So long as you are willing to get your account in good standing, I'll be patient and work with ya. But if you are like, "Whatever I got mine." No biggie. I'll move on. It's messed up but so is life.
Legalese, you must be over 18, reside in the US and use valid info, not already have a free laptop account or do an offer for something you already have, (ie you already have a Blockbuster or Columbia house account, you can still sign up but you'll have to do something else). As with most online things, I can't be responsible for lost emails or website down times, etc etc. First come first served means just that and due to signature requirement, you must use a valid delivery address.

Please don't be angry w/me or send hate mails or blast me on sites if you didn't make the cut. I'm really struggling to do this as fairly as possible. I have the best intentions for all involved, primarily for my mom, then my visitors, and lastly for me. In the future I *may* do something like this again, give away another Shuffle in return for sign ups and w/o doing anything else all the peeps who didn't win this Shuffle are automatically entered. I'm posting this info before Thursday, b/c it'll take you that long to read it (4 entire pages on Word) and to make it available to as many people @ as possible. You may notice I have a constant theme about fairness and balance, it's a Libra thing. I'm obsessed w/it.
As much as I'd like to, I can't accommodate every single person. As it stands, I'm already taking into consideration, peeps who work during the day, who only have access to PCs during the week and the time zones they live in. Yeesh!
