Man I spent most of today, tending to my sites. Their like plants, I always feel if I neglect them, well, traffic will die. But it was more than that feeling since I was still updating most of them in spite of the madness, but behind the scenes...lawdhavemercy, talk about email. One site, ONE, had over 1800 emails and that's not including spam.

Granted I do have 1500 or so close online buddies ;), ok more like 52 :p, Still. That much email was insane. I spent most of the afternoon getting that taken care of. I also updated my podcast, my training journal, and my pudge pic blog.

Made a few buttons for the newest peeps on the fitroll, charged up my iPod...oh and got in 90 mins in the gym clocking a bit over 4 miles thankyouverymuch...despite the fact that the treadmill freaking tried to KILL me and I so was not in the mood to go this AM, but I went and I'm glad.

Picture it, it was minutes after I uploaded the podcast and I was sitting in front the 'puter licking my I'm-so-fat-I'm-almost-200-lbs!-wounds like a cat trying to clean itself...

Geenee was being temperamental and would not download the newest audiobook I planned to listen to, 1984, (finished Davinci code which was way better on audio than that boring ass movie...Tom Hanks seriously snoozed thru that role) anyhoo...she refused to do 1984 and it was 10 mins till gym time.

I'm sitting here thinking of all the things I needed to do site wise (see 1st paragraph) and said, fugg it, I'm staying home all day. I settled back in the chair and my butt was like, "Are you kdding me? You can't go to the gym b/c you don't have an ipod on you? The first day you went solo and did fine."

*sigh*

I know, I whined, but still.

I remembered the gym lets you plug into the TVs above. W/o another thought next thing I know, I hop out the chair one foot in my socks, the other foot is pulling on my shorts and I'm out the door.

Figuring if I just do 45 mins on Lippy, I can end w/15 on the treadmill and have a good day, but I wanted to do 45 on Tready too. Now that I'm all about burning fat in the AM, I walked w/my rate monitor. This way I didn't have to hold onto the bars to stay in the zone. Last week I refigured out my target, 122 seemed too low. Now I aim for 145 max.

Which is exactly where I was @ by the end of my stint on Lippy, good thing too. My feet start to get numb. I hopped on the treadmill, but not before taking a sloooooow walk over to the paper towel dispenser (forgot my towel, it's always something w/me) all so I could see how exactly does one work the stairclimber, a girl was on it. I slowly mopped my brow so I could see it in action.

She came on it ½ way to me being on Lippy, was taking the steps two @ a time and was still going when I got off. She was drenched.

I was intrigued.

Making a mental note to give it a go next weekend, I got on the treadmill, set my target rate to 145 and my mph to 3.5. I was off. 10 mins in I dropped it to 3.1 mph. Another 5 mins of that nonsense I was back down to 2.8. My calves were stinging.

25 mins in, thinking I've been a good girl throughout the walk for keeping my hands off the machine, I decide to rest them a bit. My rate plunged, which caused the incline to soar.

@ one point I was @ 9 incline :O

I would've kicked the stupid thing had I not been so high in the sky and dumb machine that it is, keeping me so high made me want to hold on even more which caused my heart rate to keep falling. I had to suck it up and walk as close to the console as possible so my hearrate could shoot up to the 150's so the incline could drop to 6% and change. All the while I'm drenched in sweat.

Sadist that I am, and to make the last boring ipodless 5 mins interesting, I held on again and played that "I'm gonna pass out I'm so high in the sky" game till the end of the session.

I left the gym w/a nice sweat stain looping across the front of my shirt making me look like I was wearing a dark gray bib.
