Wednesday is my official "rest day". What it really means no Golds but I do weights, ab work. Sunday is also my "rest" day. But a more sadistic kinda rest...

R – 22 mins Recumbent Bike
E – 22 mins Elliptical
S – 22 mins Stationary Bike/ 2 mins StairClimber
T – 22 mins Treadmill

Muahahahahahaaaa!

I'm an evil beast aren't I?

I can almost give her a run for her money...*snort*...when I become a personal trainer and you are my client and you hear me say all casual like, "Oh by the way, this weekend we'll be resting,"...RUN!

It's fairly intense which is why I keep it as a weekend routine and go for the cardiovascular benefits, rate goal of 160 vs. my fat burning benefits, rate goal of 140 during the week.

Depending on how I feel, I do that routine Sat, Sun or both days. It's a pretty good mix. I start fairly slow on the bikes. Recumbent first, then stationary. I must be getting better b/c this week my girly bits hurt a little less when I climbed off the bike. confused

Since it's hard to get my rate up on the bike, I settle for having it in the high 120's low 130's.

Then I cling for dear life on the hop onto the StairClimber for 2 mins. That monstrosity shoots my rate back up pretty high. Next is the elliptical, which keeps it nice and high for the duration. Finally I hit the treadmill where I run for 5 mins, nothing says gooooood morning like having your rate flirt in the 180 bpm range for 5 mins or so. Finally, after all that, I do a leisurely walk @ 3.5 mph, which during the week pretty much kills me but after the torture session I just endured, it almost feels like a walk in the park.

90 mins and a soaked shirt later, they have to peel me off the machines ;)
