Another upward tick, and it's up from last week too, coinky dink 7 days after I pondered carb bloat and figured it'd take 7 days to show a gain.

I will not panic.

I will not stress.

I will not freak.

I will not bum.

I will pack my gym bag.

Ok, I got it. Last nite, er, early this morning I did a podcast b/c my mind was racing @ 2AM. I mentioned how out of whack my routine is, and I'm fumbling around trying to get a pattern.

I just fleshed out a workout schedule and it'll go a l'il sumthin' like this:

Sun - Off / 15 mins weights
Mon - 60 mins cardio / 15 mins weights
Tues - 60 mins cardio / 15 mins weights
Wed - Rest Day
Thurs - 60 mins cardio / 15 mins weights
Fri - 60 mins cardio / 15 mins weights
Sat - 90 mins cardio / 15 mins weights

This has me hitting the gym 5 days a week, not listed is ab work which I'll try to knock out in the AM. I'll alternate arms/legs in the evening. Sunday is no Gold's day. Mainly b/c the gym opens an hour later which throws me into mid-morning and I feel out of synch. Being off gives me time to do housework and food prep for the week. If I'm feeling frumpy I can do an AM outdoorsy activity in the cul-de-sac.

W/this system, after every 2 or 3 days of working out, I get to rest up...and if I'm still feeling frumpy, I can do a PM cardio session, but that's optional. After 2 weeks of gauging traffic patterns and dealing w/my insomnia, this schedule makes the most sense.

This weekend I'm picking up a sleep-aid. Coincidently the radio station I listen to hear the traffic report before I switch to a college commercial free radio station was talking about insomnia and gave some all natural herbs and teas to try. Doing that and bumping up my bed time by a ½, hour b/c I don't fall asleep right away, should do the trick. The last 2 weeks I've been getting 4-5 hours of sleep a night. Last night I got 2 or 3. @ this point, 6 would be a blessing.

Lastly food.

Now that I pretty much got a gym routine going, (despite being a bit hard on myself I realize I'm managing to go 5 times a week. It's just not the pattern I want it to be so it feels like I haven't been there @ all) I can start turning my attn towards food.

While I focused on the gym, my food goal was to just eat more. Stop w/the once a day huge meals. For the most part I did good scheduling how I ate and paying more attn to portion size.

Next week, I'm going back to fitday to get my calories daily. I'll still eat much how I have been. If I need to modify my eats, I'll work on that the following week.

This AM's uptick is not a total shocker. I'm, how shall I say it delicately as to not offend my single male reader??, hormonal. Yea that's it, hormonal.

And when Renee gets hormonal, she must have chocolate and she's tired and grumpy and whiny. I barely recognize myself @ times and couldn't figure out why I was all over the place, then it made sense.

But yea, and while last week I mentioned Wednesday's movie night, if there was to be a gain, would show up in a week. I also prefaced that thought by saying, it won't just be what I ate @ the movie.

My eating over the weekend was pretty random, shopping while hungry did me in. And then there was chocolate this week. A snickers bar and a few baby-sized baby ruths. Nothing earth shattering, but unlike other times, the daily weigh-in is helping me catch trends before I'm blindsided and the daily food log helps me see patterns and I'm not left wondering, "Guh...how did I gain weight? I ate salads all week?"

Food wise I also made some subtle changes that added calories, like added a serving cheerios to my fiber one and realizing I wasn't quite drinking a serving of soy milk for the last 2 weeks, this week I added more milk.

Going back to fitday will help keep my overall calories w/in range.
