Clean Slate

If you've been reading my site since around May, you may be wondering, what the hell happened to [insert challenge name here] challenge? Or. Wasn't she doing [insert new workout routine name here]. Or. Wasn't she eating [insert new food regime here]. Or. Wasn't she supposed to [blah blah blah, blah blah, blah]?

To which I'd answer, Yes. No. I think... Huh? What? Get off my back already.

But then I'd really answer thusly.

In order to keep the site going I write. Mostly what's on the top of my head, but mainly things I'm working out as I go along. Somewhere during my move, I lost my ability to plan and stick, I reverted to doing what needed to be done, as needed.

It's August. Slowly but surely I'm feeling a bit more settled. I've accepted certain things I resent, like paying for gym and a 2+ hours daily commute. Last weeks' quick getaway aside, I feel my routine coming back. I said on last nites podcast, no more vacay traveling for the rest of the year. Not to say I won't take time off, I'll need to, but I'm staying local. Going away fugs up my fragile routine and I waste precious days recovering and end up fluctuating up and down for a week or 2 before my groove returns.

So here is my final plan/routine for the rest of August:
Eating – do phase 1 of south beach
Exercise – do 3 weight sessions per body part each week, ie 3 arms, 3 legs/buns, 3 abs/back; do 90 mins cardio 5 days a week, 30 of which will be done in the AM
Water – 1 gallon daily
Vitamins/Supplements – daily cocktail
Sleep – 7 hours minimum

I'll slightly modify my daily posts to make sure I hit these things consistently.

All sections will likely continue thru September & October. Heck November – December too, the only adjustment'll be eating, the first week in September I'll see how I feel food wise and either do phase 2 of south beach or go back to my grainy/fruity ways, but I'll leave the planning on that for later.

On the fatfighterblogs.com site, I have 2 stats I'm going to track over there, BMI and Body Fat. I did a bit of number crunching and put my first goal to reduce body fat by 8% going from my current 38 to 30 in 3 months. That'll require me to lose 15lbs, 194 to 179 by the 2nd or so week in November. It ties in w/what I'm already doing here. Once I get my stats from the last week and this week updated on Sunday, I'll see it all a bit clearer.

There's a feeling of insanity lingering above my head, the ole, "Doing the same thing and expecting a different result" but I'm going to push past that pit I feel myself sliding too b/c I can totally see it, I give in, put things on hold till I "feel" right, 3 months'll go by, December will be here and I'll be, likely pudgier, and will be PISSED!

No promises to be gung ho every day till years end, but baring an unforeseen event, I'll be here daily plugging away @ it. Or as I just read in a sbd forum:

Experiment, Fail, Learn, Move forward. Rinse and repeat.
