renee~

i've really enjoyed your weekly videos and give you SO much credit for sticking to the fast and lasting for 10 days... i've never done one personally but after watching this, i am tempted to see what its like... i also think its great that you didn't do it to lose weight because we all know that quick fixes don't always last (no offense to those that do this)... an emotional fast sounds so interesting, i may need to do some research on that... anyway, i hope you have a great holiday and keep doing what you're doing! :o)

Your face looks thinner! :) I didn't do the weekend fast...yet. I am going to do a water/tea fast tomorrow. Did you feel extremely tired? Like..."I don't want to get out of bed" tired? I'm worred that I won't be able to be productive at work. I am already extremely low on energy.

My face? Really? Funny you say that, I *thought* I noticed a change, but am so paranoid I see things, i just shrugged it off that my eyes were playing tricks on me.

As for feeling extremely tired, it varied. To be safe, the first two days, I purposely stayed in bed, but I not b/c my body couldn't handle it. From what I've read, the more your body detoxs, it's possible to have extreme reactions, however, b/c w/the fast you are getting enough carbs and glucouse, which feed the brain, it allows you to function as usual.

Most people are able to exercise, those are the ones that lose a ton of weight. I chose not to be one of those people ;)

So I dunno, I'd say, try it for one day when you know you'll be home totally, but keep in mind, the more your body has to detox, the longer it may take for the full effect to hit you, or it may not hit you at all.

Sorry girlie, I just don't feel like I'm really answering your question, andit could be b/c there really is no answer, just personal experience ya kno?

Yay! I'm famous!

Great job with your fast, Renee. I never stopped to think about teh spiritual side of fasting. Not to be overly religious, but some of us are familiar with a guy who fast for 40 days in the desert so that he could meditate on the upcoming days of his life...but that's a long and very old story...

Again, congrats to you and your newly cleansed system.

Hi Renee...congrats on finishing your fast. Ten days is a huge accomplishment and hearing how it changed your thought pattern concerning food is really quite wonderful.

Your story of the fast and the recap of BL got me thinking...I am really surprised that no one on the show has gone home and done something like this right up until the final weigh-in show. Hmm...maybe they have and I just don't know it...or more likely...maybe BL producers thought of that and made them sign a contract that they wouldn't.

Just got my mind a thinkin'

Amazing, Renee!

Hey, you've done it...

...not my cup of tea though, I rather do it steadily. Anyway, great job!

Hey Renee. Awesome job on the fast. I tried that same fast a couple of months ago and ended it after only two days - I just didn't have it in me and I don't think I was doing it for the right reasons. I love your videos though and I hope you'll keep updating on your jorney here. Have a nice vacation.
