LL Cool J's Platinum Workout

Now, I am aware that 99.9% of my audience is women. Save for the sole LL Cool J's Platinum Workout guy, well it now may be two guys so lets make that 99.8% of my audience is women, that read my site, I'm doing what I do for the girls. This review, of LL Cool J's Platinum Workout is especially for the ladies. Yes I know his program seems to be catered to men, but TRUST me when I say you want to get a copy of this book. It is a page after page of glossy color photos of the delectable Mr. Todd Smith.

One thing you must do though, you have to open the book. Don't be tempted, like I was, to just gaze at the front cover. Lovingly studying all the indents and ripples...and...veins...and tattoos...and dimples...and girth...and...wait...where was I?

Dammit...reviewing a book. Fine. Review I shall...

Inside, LL shares the tips he used to get his beautiful body. The first chapter details his path the fitness.

The rest of the book is broken into 5 phases: Bronze Body, Silver Body, Gold Body, Platinum Body and Diamond Body.

Hrmmmm Renee wonders if she's actually a Rust Body blush

The phase you pick depends on who you are, for us girls, he suggest doing we do the Diamond Phase...he's such a flirt.

That phase is a four week regime the will bless you with a tighter butt, firmer thighs and no more chicken arms. Great, now I'm a Rusty Bird.

All in all it's a great book. For obvious reasons. Picture after picture of him working out. HAWT! But beyond that, it's written in a hip-hop/urban format. No he's not using words like fo' shizzle my nizzle...ugh. But throughout the book he uses snippets from his past songs and tosses out tips to live longer. His co writer & trainer "Scooter" also gives fat burning tips, LL gives a few interviews and the book covers everything from how to read nutrition labels to the benefits of stretching to whether or not you need certain fitness gear.

It's one of the most creative and unique fitness books I've seen in a long time. If your bored with typical fitness books, or just want to gawk @ a hot bod, this book if for you. ;)

If you like hip hop, you have an added bonus of a getting picture book compilation from your favorite artist.

Well done LL, well done.

I don't have a Valentine this year *sniffle* so LL shall be my Valentine, I'm going to curl up w/him on the 14th. He even wore red on the cover. Just for me.
