So a hot new weight loss drug is coming to a store near you. Alli. I haven't seen commercials or ads for this, but saw lots of discussions on a few health & fitness boards I frequent. It's not that I'm a saint when it comes to diet pills *cough* but it's not a move I'm willing to make.
I caught a segment on the Today Show discussing it (GAWD I hate when media sites don't update to match what they discussed, so I can't provide a direct link to the story like I really want to.). After all the blah blah blahingg, a few things the medical correspondent said that firmly made up my mind. Well two things:
1) Oily discharge
2) Pack an extra pair of pants
Are you goddamned kidding me?
Why not just tell me start wearing Depends...

...wait. Maybe that could be a tie in promotion. For every bottle of Alli you purchase, you get a few packages of Depends.
Combining Alli with a low calorie, low fat eating plan while exercising; you can expect to lose only 25% more weight. If you need to lose 10lbs, that's a whopping 2lbs. Granted, in my case, that could be 15lbs, but c'monnnnnnnnnnn do I want to be pooping fat, whether I want to or not.
Look, I like a good poop. Matter of fact, I strive to have one a day. If I have two, I'm wildly looking around for someone to share the good news with, while trying to pat myself on the back. So having oily fat leak out my body isn't the move for me. I rather like my poop being solid, in one piece and most importantly performed on my own volition.
